What you can expect from working together

01.

The Vibe

Sessions are warm, relaxed, and collaborative. There’s no pressure to “perform” or have the perfect words, it’s a come as you are party, whether you’re anxious, stuck in a spiral, or just totally done. We’ll walk through it together (sometimes literally, if you book a walking session). We follow your pace, and hold space for whatever shows up.

02.

The Working Approach

Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the work is less about getting rid of uncomfortable thoughts and more about changing your relationship with them. Together, we explore what matters to you and how to move toward that, even when it’s difficult.

03.

What We Might Work On

You might want to sleep better, stop doom-scrolling, rebuild a morning routine, or finally deal with your health anxiety. Maybe you’re tired of overthinking everything or waiting until things feel easier to make changes. We explore how to untangle from the habits or fears that pull you away from what matters and get clearer on what kind of life you actually want to build.

04.

What You Might Take Away

You won’t get a plan to stop your anxiety, change your thoughts, or force yourself into rigid habits. What you will get is space to unhook from what’s been keeping you stuck, tools you can actually use when things feel messy, and a clearer sense of what matters to you. We focus on building habits, mindsets, and routines that feel sustainable. Over time, this helps you feel more like yourself again, even when anxiety, health worries, or self-doubt show up.

Who's ACTualize Psychology for?

ACTualize is for people who want to live with more intention. Whether that means navigating anxiety, shifting unhelpful habits, or simply doing more of what matters to them. It’s not about fixing yourself, but learning to carry the hard stuff while still moving in the direction of a meaningful life.

Have tried making changes before but keep falling into old patterns.

Feel stuck between knowing what is good for you and actually doing it.

Want to feel better physically or mentally but are tired of quick fixes.

Feel disconnected from what matters or unsure about your next step.

Want support that fits who you are rather than telling you what to do.

How do the sessions work?

At ACTualize, sessions are designed to be flexible and personal. Support is offered online or through walking sessions around the parks of Amsterdam or surrounding cities.  Sessions are 50 minutes long and typically take place weekly or biweekly, depending on your needs. You can work with me in either English or Hungarian. Unfortunately, I don’t work with insurance companies, which means we can focus fully on your goals without diagnostic labels or rigid rules. The investment for online sessions is €75 and for in-person walking sessions it is €80.

If you are unable to afford the sessions right now, reach out, we might be able to figure something out. If you are a student, I offer both types of sessions for €50.

*Please note: While ACTualize offers evidence-based support, it’s not intended for severe psychological disorders or crisis situations. If you’re in crisis, your GP or a local helpline is always the best place to turn to for immediate care.

Something's not working?

Unfortunately, I am very aware that I am not perfect. If something in our work together doesn’t feel quite right, I truly appreciate the chance to talk it through as I believe that most things can be figured out with an honest conversation and I’m always open to feedback.

However, if we can’t sort it out together, you have the right to file a formal complaint. This is part of the Wkkgz (Dutch law for quality and complaints in healthcare), and it exists to make sure you’re protected and supported if things go off track.

You can contact the Central Bureau for Complaints Management in Healthcare (CBKZ) in any of these ways:

  • Email: klachten@cbkz.nl

  • Registered mail: CBKZ, Antwoordnummer 570, 4200 WB Gorinchem

  • Or fill out this form and send it digitally.

It’s all about fairness and open communication. If you’d rather talk before taking further steps, I’m always here to listen 🙂 !
