I'm an English-speaking psychologist in Amsterdam, registered as a NIP Psychologist®. I work in English and Hungarian, in Amsterdam and online, supporting people with anxiety, health anxiety and panic.
I studied Psychology at Leiden University. There, I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees, specializing in Health and Medical Psychology. That background is a big part of why health anxiety is a special interest of mine today. I know how closely the mind and body are connected, and how easily worry about your health can take over.
Alongside my degrees, I completed several courses in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. For example, I learned from Russ Harris, one of the most respected ACT trainers worldwide. I also took part in the first ACT BootCamp in Europe, led by Steven C. Hayes, the originator of ACT. But I'm nowhere near done learning. I continue to read, listen to podcasts, and stay up to date with the ever-evolving world of psychology and ACT.
I completed a supervised internship at Leiden University, where I put theory into practice and worked with clients. Since then, I've kept building my experience through volunteer work. At a Dutch mental health helpline, I support callers going through difficult moments. I offer individual sessions to LGBTQ+ people who have recently arrived in the Netherlands as refugees. And with a Spanish organization, I provide psychological support to people rebuilding their lives abroad.
Since 2025, I've been running my own practice, ACTualize. I work as an English-speaking psychologist in Amsterdam and online, helping people with anxiety, health anxiety and panic.
When I'm not working, you'll probably find me watching a sunset or going on long walks with no particular destination. Otherwise, I'm at the gym or annoying my neighbors with my drumming. I'm also a proud airplane spotter, and if Liverpool is playing, I'm glued to the screen. And yes, I read and learn about anxiety even in my free time. I just find it that interesting.
I've always been curious about why we do what we do, and how we can do more of what actually matters. I try to live what I teach. That means staying flexible, letting go of perfection, and choosing a life that feels meaningful rather than just perfect or productive.
Rescued from Hungary, now a proud Amsterdammer.
